The American Psychological Association (APA) defined “quantitative psychology” as the “study of methods and techniques for the measurement of human attributes, the statistical and mathematical modeling of psychological processes, the design of research studies, and the analysis of psychological data”. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the history and current development of quantitative psychology. In particular, I will share my ongoing research on item response theory, computerized adaptive testing, test security, and cognitive diagnosis.
